- Progressive professional experience in marketing, advertising, or communications
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and deploys external communications including print, email, and digital marketing in coordination with the Office of Communications and Marketing and externally with third-party vendors working on behalf of the institution.
- Manage a multi-state recruitment territory by representing the College to prospective students, families, secondary school counselors, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders involved in the college selection process.
- Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and community-based organizations in the form of school visits, college fairs, and speaking engagements.
- Evaluate applications and make admissions decisions from assigned recruitment territory.
- Counsel prospective students and other individuals from inquiry through matriculation through in-person conversations or via phone, web-based platforms, email, and texts.
- Perform daily activities related to the regular maintenance and administration of the Slate instance used by Undergraduate Admissions.
- Supervise the import of data from all inquiry sources and assist with the creation and maintenance of data import and export processes.
- Maintain and update forms and events, including related communications, queries, reports, and rules.
- Ensure data integrity through regular data clean-up processes and frequent consolidation of records.
- Prepare and send email and SMS communication in collaboration with the Office of Communications.
- Assist with annual cycle prep processes including updating Slate hosted applications and third-party application integrations.
- Troubleshoot issues across the system and implement solutions.
- Identify and execute regular and annual improvements to admission processes including identifying business processes that can be enhanced through creative solutions or new features.
- Create documentation of existing and new processes, maintain documents as updates are implemented, and create training manuals and instructions for staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in an admissions office (higher education or secondary) with an emphasis on admissions communications and marketing activities
- Prior experience managing and maintaining a Slate instance
