Requirements
- High School or college degree preferred
- 2-3 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience in a high-volume upscale resort
- Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labor controls, menu writing, maintenance, merchandising and accounting
- Ability to work inside and outside while servicing the Pool area. Subject to all weather conditions including sun, wind, and rain
- Food and beverage knowledge a must
- A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to work with teams all around the hotel
- Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
- High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team
- Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of Room Service operations, including service flow, staff schedules, and inventory management. Ensure that all room service orders are prepared and delivered according to Four Seasons’ luxury standards.
- Maintain an active presence in the Room Service department, engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving service-related issues promptly. Support the team in delivering personalized and memorable service.
- Support hiring, training, and development efforts to ensure Room Service staff are knowledgeable, motivated, and aligned with company goals. Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship.
- Monitor financial performance of the Room Service department, assisting in tracking revenue and expenses. Support the implementation of strategies to optimize revenue, including promoting specials, upselling, and maximizing delivery efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Four Seasons brand standards, conducting routine inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency in the Room Service area. Assist with internal audits and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with other food and beverage outlets and departments during peak times or special events, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Participate in departmental meetings and provide insights on operational improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required
- Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort
- Must be flexible with schedule- Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts
- Strong oral presentation skills
- Ability to carry and balance a tray. Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
