Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2+ years of prior experience in a lead barista position or equivalent
  • Experienced and familiar with the culture of Starbucks to be able to lead and train baristas
  • Knowledge of all menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations

Responsibilities

  • Be on the floor assisting on the line with beverages and food items as needed depending on business volume
  • Help supervise two Starbucks and 48th and Crepe at the New York New York property
  • Supervise baristas and lead baristas to ensure quality assurance
  • Review daily schedules and manage time off and vacation requests; coach and train on policies, procedures, and performance
  • Train team on new drinks and meal items
  • Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing
