Requirements
- Ph.D. in soil chemistry, bio(geo)chemistry, or microbiology or related sciences
- Understanding of bioresiduals management
- Strong interest and commitment to transdisciplinary research
- Commitment to solution-focused science and societal interactions
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on sourcing and land application of bioresiduals
- Focus on soil and environmental health, including carbon and nutrient management
- Investigate bioresource processing through transformation of wastes
- Study emerging contaminants and their impact on agroecosystems
- Develop an extension program to support bioresource sustainability
- Engage with rural and urban constituencies in New York State
