Requirements
- Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
Responsibilities
- Teach and develop undergraduate/graduate courses in their expertise areas.
- Supervise master and doctoral students.
- Participate in appropriate levels of service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
- Collaborate with faculty researchers within the department and the University.
- Develop a vigorous and sustainable grant funded research program in his or her area of expertise that leads to personal professional development and publish results from research in scholarly journals.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of teaching experience or postdoctoral experience in their area of expertise with a demonstrated record of excellence or experience in collaborative research.
