Requirements
- PhD in the history of art or architecture or a related discipline (ABD candidates considered, but PhD must be completed by start date)
- Evidence of a commitment to developing a significant program of research
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and advising
- Experience with and interest in contributing to anti-racism and anti-oppression goals
- Evidence of equitable considerations in curriculum development and inclusive practices
Responsibilities
- Lead a survey-level course in architectural history
- Teach upper-level undergraduate courses in their field
- Conduct graduate seminars
- Advise majors, minors, and MA and PhD students
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and field
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred research focus on Africa, the Americas, the Islamic World, and/or the Middle East/West Asia
- Field of specialization that complements existing departmental strengths in Early Modern Europe, South Asia, and Latin America
