Requirements
- Candidates must have a doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field.
- The successful candidate will have a background in Integrated Circuits (ICs), Microprocessors/Microcontrollers, Power Systems, and/or Data Communication.
- The successful candidate will be expected to incorporate teaching methods that promote learning among diverse populations and will create a learning environment that genuinely supports, respects, and addresses the diverse needs of student populations at Penn State Harrisburg.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach 9 credit hours per semester, with a reduced load of 3 credits per semester for the first two years.
- Offer introductory electrical engineering courses, as well as upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in specified areas.
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities.
- Advise both undergraduate and graduate students.
- Supervise capstone and honor’s projects, and supervise graduate student culminating experiences.
- Serve on committees at the department, school, and college level to advance the mission of the college and university.
- Promote and advance the school’s commitment to education and improving the diversity of voices in STEM.
