Requirements
- Degree in forestry or related field (e.g. ecology, evolution, biology, natural resources management) with PhD degree requirements complete by the appointment date
- Strong evidence for conducting and publishing innovative research
- Competitiveness for securing external research funding
- Excellence in communication with diverse interest groups
- Potential for success in mentoring and advising students
- Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students across the University
Responsibilities
- Develop an externally funded, high impact interdisciplinary research program on forest adaptation under global change
- Teach one graduate and one undergraduate course in tree ecophysiology
- Teach one additional course that aligns with the candidate’s expertise and department curricular needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across scales of biodiversity, from genes to ecosystems
