Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience managing subcontractors and self-perform work on similar construction projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to influence and lead the assignment of others
Responsibilities
- Report to the Project Manager, implement, manage, maintain, and administer certain processes related to construction as required.
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Inspect quality of work and safety compliance according to available standards.
- Support Project Manager with onsite control of field works (quality, safety, and compliance of the Design).
- Prepare and maintain schedule of work and monitor labor schedules as needed.
- Review Contractors order and inspect reception of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Review proposed change orders and perform cost control of relevant activities.
- Review contractors invoicing assessing works performed to date.
- Recommend solutions to design changes throughout construction process.
- May manage subcontractor scope of work respective to various contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PANYNJ and other NYC entities is preferred.
- Experience in heavy civil construction is recommended.
