Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, Physical Science or related technical discipline required
- 7+ years of progressive EHS experience
- Willingness to travel to various sites across the Americas Region as required (travel up to 20%)
- Strong project management skills, supporting multiple activities/projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS matters within the MAHTS Americas Region, coordinating with operational leadership, site managers, and external stakeholders.
- Exercise a high degree of independence, leading and guiding a small team of EHS professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and communication amongst team members.
- Plan, develop, and support implementation of EHS programs for multiple sites to assure continuous compliance with local, state and federal legislation, Company standards and industry best practices.
- Serve as interface with local governmental EHS agencies and insurance carriers.
- Ensure compliance with environmental licenses and permits at MAHTS sites.
- Clearly and concisely communicate complex technical and regulatory information to senior level leaders.
- Oversee the investigation of EHS incidents, including accidents and near misses, and ensure proper reporting and effective corrective and preventive action plans; regularly monitor and evaluate effectiveness of mitigation efforts.
- Strong leadership in setting direction and expectations for EHS programs to capital project teams.
- Oversee change management processes for EHS initiatives, ensuring major transitions are effectively planned and executed to maintain continuous compliance with applicable regulations and organizational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement focused on both approaches and outcomes.
- Manage budgetary & capital needs to support EHS initiatives, projects and programs.
- Track and support the completion of required reports to site, divisional and/or corporate management and regulatory agencies.

- Result oriented, timely deliverance on objectives within budgetary limits.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
