Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain state specific property and casualty claims licensing as required
- Basic knowledge and understanding of claim handling processes
- Can meet travel requirements as needed
- Ability to work in conditions involving sitting/standing
Responsibilities
- Attends a new employee training program that includes claim processing in various systems, policy and procedures, and company culture and its application to the Claim environment as needed
- Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, public personnel, etc.
- Handles files with limited authority based on management discretion
- May be required to complete other assignments, job duties, or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.
