Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a complex, global capital markets organizations.
- Experience with large technology infrastructure programs (ex. Data Center Migrations), coordinating across Application Development teams and Technology Infrastructure partners.
- Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office Programs (Power Point, SharePoint, Excel) and Tableau.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and lead technical discussions.
- Solid working understanding of Linux.
- Detailed and broad knowledge of the CM business particularly within Sales & Trading, algorithmic electronic trading, etc.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver results under pressure.
- Well versed in networking protocols and topologies
- Translate business requirement into IT solutions
- Solid project management skills
Responsibilities
- Liaise with QTS and Technology Infrastructure to address business needs, drive key initiatives, and sound environment management.
- Drive execution of infrastructure initiatives and provide regular program updates to stakeholders.
- Direct continuous improvement of services and processes to improve operating environment.
- Identify and evaluate technical solutions to address tactical or strategic needs.
- Work to improve DR strategy and improve resiliency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology teams and business partners.
- Proactive management and governance of our technology investment through a systematic metrics bases approach to drive improved scalability, performance, and efficiency.
- Partner closely with development teams from early in the development lifecycle to ensure connectivity and shared objectives to build more resilient and supportable platforms.
- Proactively identify and implement procedures to manage operational risk and control deficiencies, escalating any risks in a timely manner.
- Takes initiative in other infrastructure programs within QTS, such as server virtualization, cost efficiencies, vendor management and other ad hoc items.
