Requirements
- Advanced Degree and 10+ years of experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing Operations, Business Management or Engineering fields; OR Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Personnel management / leadership experience and ability to lead and influence technical teams.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Responsibilities
- Accountable leader overseeing a team responsible for 18 regional partner Disassembly Assembly Test (DATs) centers and ~400 Designated Service Partners (DSPs, suppliers) performing aviation maintenance.
- Responsible for the PW Businesses, DAT and DSPs compliance to P&W requirements and provide guidance on all matters related to quality.
- Oversee and conduct independent annual audits.
- Lead Problem Resolution Teams at Partners and PW-Businesses.
- Support global quality assurance teams, to resolve problems and improve processes.
- Develop and nurture relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Review regulatory changes and assess impact(s) and communicate as appropriate.
- Provide active support during critical regulatory audits.
- Active participant in new businesses start-ups including coordinating certificate transfers.
- Development of applicable aftermarket procedures.
- Assess production & process readiness for the DATs and DSPs complaint to industry requirements.
- Support safety board investigation as 14 CFR Part 145.221 or 14 CFR Part 21.3 regulatory requirements.
- Support senior and local Corrective Action Boards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in STEM field; Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science preferred.
- Expert level knowledge of P&W Quality Management System (QMS).
- Knowledge of Aerospace manufacturing or Aftermarket (MRO) Repair Station industry.
- Working knowledge of Domestic and International regulatory compliance requirements (i.e., FAA, CAAC, CAAS, EASA, NRC, DOT, etc.).
- Experience in applying ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9110; ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
- Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).
- Strong business and financial acumen with ability to analyze, monitor and interpret key metrics and business indicators.
- Experience working with SAP Quality module, Fiori, Solumina MES, Teamcenter, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.
