Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in higher education, student engagement, community engagement, or other related field required
  • 3-5 years of total work experience
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Driver’s license required and ability to be insured by the university

Responsibilities

  • Lead Community Engagement and Leadership initiatives for students
  • Develop and oversee risk management policies for community service opportunities
  • Manage the onboarding process for community partners, student volunteer training, and service hours tracking
  • Organize the annual Celebration of Service and Leadership Award Ceremony
  • Manage the Service and Leadership Pre-Orientation Program
  • Serve as a resource to students and staff on community engagement initiatives
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive student leadership training program
  • Provide oversight and direction for the Community Engagement Ambassador Program (CEAP)
  • Collaborate with campus partners on community engagement, events, and programs throughout the year
  • Provide leadership, supervision, professional development, and evaluation of a team
  • Assist the Director with strategic planning and management of the Department of Student Engagement
  • Support departmental programs and events

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with grant writing preferred
  • Some Nights and Weekends required
