Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration or similar role required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, and/or other related field is preferred.
  • HR and/or benefits certification is preferred (i.e. PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, or similar).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired.
  • Prior experience exiting a professional employer organization (PEO) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking in front of groups.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to frame data for leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and necessary administration of all employee benefits programs, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Manage relationships and communication with benefits brokers and vendors, including negotiation and customer service reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state-mandated benefits including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, and ACA.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, including configuration, communication, and employee support.
  • Analyze benefits data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities to modify plan design.
  • Develop, review, and update company policies to ensure they are aligned with business objectives, federal and state requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Communicate policy changes and updates to employees effectively, ensuring understanding and compliance.
  • Maintain People & Culture policy repository, in partnership with broader P&C organization and Legal department.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on interpretation and application of company policies.
  • Perform regular and proactive audits on employee files for accuracy and updates.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for P&C leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Support Talent team on employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team members.
  • Support the onboarding process, assisting with new hire processing and orientation as necessary.
  • Support the administration of employee exits, including preparing offboarding documentation, addressing questions, and related tasks.

  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or high-growth consumer products industries a plus.
  • Gets things done without perfect resources, is innovative, collaborative, works with a sense of urgency, and is invested in the work product.
