Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a leadership, project management, or client liaison role or demonstrated performance heading up large-scale, complex, high-visibility projects or implementations.
  • PMP Certified preferred
  • Previous experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance preferred
  • Experience in end-to-end product launches or business implementations, and technical projects.
  • Proven experience managing expectations and managing cross-functional teams and resources that do not have direct reporting relationships.
  • Knowledge of managing business projects and concepts through project management practices.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks with multiple timelines; and works well under pressure.
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Process oriented; focused on standardization, streamlining, and implementation of best practices.
  • Ability to embrace change and positively influence change in a dynamic working environment.
  • Demonstrated use of sound and proven project management practices and tools, including MS Office, MS Project, SmartSheet, SharePoint, and other business management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead high-profile, complex business implementations and unique business initiatives across the Enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with functional heads, senior leaders, and other key stakeholders to gain the cross-functional/workstream aid needed to drive successful projects.
  • Act as a key contact with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and that timelines and deliverables stay on target.
  • Spearhead and attend meetings (in person and/or via teleconference) with internal and external customers in a professional and polished manner.
  • Utilize data and professional experience to recommend and influence business and technology choices positively.
  • Question the status quo and encourage innovative thinking for implementing unique new business opportunities.
  • Drive the teams to execute the plan, escalate to stakeholders and leadership when needed; secure necessary approvals; ensure judgements are made in a timely fashion.
  • Work with other program & project managers to identify and comprehend interdependencies, risks, and issues; build mitigation plans.
  • Develop and manage strategy sessions, such as brainstorming sessions, with client/business/IT and other team members to identify actionable business solutions.
  • Understand and communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations with subject matter experts; continually manage expectations and escalate when they are not met.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation representing key business outcomes and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
  • Gather information and facilitate Lessons Learned reviews.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certified preferred
  • Previous experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance preferred
