Requirements
- 2-4 years ABS investment or structuring experience at an investment firm with a focus on esoteric asset classes (opportunistic and/or special situations investment experience is a plus)
- Deep familiarity with ABS deal documentation and experience working with external legal counsel
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are mandatory
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and Intex
- Familiarity with rating agency methodologies
- Strong presentation and communication abilities, detail orientation and an exceptional technical skillset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
- Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities – must demonstrate a proactive, positive attitude toward given tasks
- Self-starter with a willingness to execute projects on a small, nimble team
- Team-oriented and collaborative attitude is a must
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
Responsibilities
- Full securitization investment process management including origination, due diligence, structuring, underwriting, cash flow modeling, relative value analysis, communication with counsel on documentation and negotiations with all transaction counterparties
- Collaborate with multiple functional groups, including Origination, Apollo Private Equity, Corporate Credit, and our operating platforms, to deliver innovative asset backed finance solutions
- Present and defend investment recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Monitor and risk manage investment portfolio on an ongoing basis
