Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five years relevant experience, within Liberty University preferred
- Expertise in Registrar and academic policies
- Strong computer skills are required
- Knowledge of Banner
- Well-developed communication skills with an emphasis on written communication skills
- Must be fully proficient in all academic processes and regulations as they apply to students.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance of record-keeping policies and associated procedures, in keeping with best practices and LU policies, including the issuance of transcripts and diplomas and the release of official student data.
- Develop policies and practices for registration management; monitors developments in technology and maintains technological systems to support registration and record-keeping functions.
- Assists with class registration and grade submission processes each term.
- Monitors each student’s progress toward fulfilling degree requirements.
- Assist with daily operations that ensure accurate and secure records management and delivery, including maintenance of student enrollment records and transcripts, organization of registration process, and awarding of transfer credit.
- Review course scheduling practices to ensure efficient use of academic facilities.
- Coordinate exam schedules and materials with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Ensure compliance with academic, regulatory and accreditation policies and requirements.
- Complete bar forms received from states where students will be sitting for their bar exam and submit requested paperwork.
- Participate in collaborative and effective working relationships with LU Office of Registrar.
- Responsible for the research, analysis and resolution of student disputes as they relate to records and registration.
- Collects and disseminates data, provides academic and student data for institutional research, and prepares and publishes official enrollment statistics.
- Works effectively as a team member and advances the prestige of the University and the Law School through the advancement of and avocation for its mission and vision.
- Assist the Faculty and Administrators with special project assignments as they relate to registrar-related functions.
- Occasionally required to assist with events outside of normal business hours, including but not limited to Commencement exercises.
- Other duties as assigned by the University Registrar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
