Requirements
- Master’s Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with basic immunoassay technique (such as ELISA, colorimetric assay, and western blotting)
- Ability to work in an in vitro setting using aseptic technique, passaging, expansion, cryopreservation, assessment of cell-line quality, and cell characterization
- Operate and maintain standard lab equipment
- Document experimental plans and procedures with attention to detail in a timely manner
- Exhibit self-motivation and proactive attitude in designing and conducting experiments using state-of-the-art technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of molecular biology experiments (including RNA/DNA extraction from tissues and cells, qPCR, cloning)
- With some supervision, plan, conduct or monitor experiments, record and organize data, analyze results, troubleshoot, and generate robust and reliable data
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using functional cell-based assays
- Hands-on experience in handling samples in 96- and 384-well format is preferred
- Familiarity with metabolic disease biology, particularly in obesity or related fields
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in GraphPad Prism and experience with basic biostatistics
