Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics or relevant subject
- 2+ years of experience beyond Ph.D.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out independent research
- Demonstrated experience in experimental particle, cosmic physics or related field
- Established ability to lead and conduct experimental measurements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by presentations at conferences and a strong record of publications in professional journals
- Ability to travel by automobile and/or commercial air carrier both domestically and internationally
- Ability and willingness to work in underground experimental areas
- Ability to work in confined spaces and/or with high voltage, and exposure to cryogens and ionizing radiation
Responsibilities
- Carry out independent research
- Lead and conduct experimental measurements
- Present research findings at conferences
- Collaborate with other physicists on experiments
- Comply with environment, safety, and health regulations
