Requirements
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field
- Has at least 3-5 years of experience in men’s technical design, preferably with a focus on men’s casual sportswear
- Has strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
- Is proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
- Has excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Has a passion for menswear and a keen eye for detail
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical measurement specifications and grade matrices for various men’s apparel categories, including wovens, knits, and outerwear
- Measure samples and garments to ensure adherence to design specifications and size standards
- Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into technically feasible garments
- Identify and resolve potential fit and production issues
- Participate in fit sessions on live models, providing clear and concise feedback to factories
- Maintain accurate records of all technical specifications and revisions
- Communicate effectively with overseas factories and vendors
- Stay current on industry trends, fabrications, and garment construction techniques
- Assist with other technical design tasks as needed
