Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Requires good mechanical skills and the ability to operate shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection and test equipment (micrometers, multimeters, and dial indicators).
- 1-2 experience working with turbomachinery equipment.
- Basic understanding and experience using Baan.
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience reading and interpreting all applicable project related documents: Application Check Sheets, P&ID, ELS, ITPs, Stamp-off Sheets, Etc.
- Be able and willing to work overtime when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and removal of all to-be tested packages and accessories.
- Assist with test of gas compressors, new and refurbished packages, consoles, and any other product tested by the Mabank Test Department.
- Observe, record, and review test data.
- May support more senior Technicians in the resolution of package or project issues.
- Assist in the setup and use of all computerized data acquisition systems.
- Attend all available training programs as directed by management.
- Contacts are typically with Test Technicians, other Metrology Technicians, and Test/Product Engineers.
- Works under the general direction of the Test Manager, Test Coordinator or Test Engineer. Work is usually reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
- Constantly engaged with more Senior Technicians in a learning and development environment. Will follow previously created practices and procedures.
