Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning, design, construction, operations, and/or maintenance, particularly as a part of a public transportation agency or similar preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to educate others on complex technical concepts, and to lead, facilitate, and present to large and small groups.
- Ability to gather and assess data and produce technical reports and/or slide decks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- A Bachelor’s degree in transportation planning or engineering, urban planning, or related field/equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of transportation-related Service Level Agreements with Games Stakeholders.
- Assist in developing, editing and refining the Games Mobility and Transportation Plan.
- Support the design and creation of key transportation deliverables to be circulated publicly.
- Manage schedules and organize internal and external meetings, conference calls, and events, ensuring that all logistics are planned and executed seamlessly.
- Assist in monitoring overall Games transportation milestones and deliverables, as well as assist in providing progress reports and updates to FA leadership and/or the Games Mobility Executives.
- Provide technical assistance for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting transportation data to optimize logistics operations, improve efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and presentation decks to support the development and refinement of the spectator and workforce transportation system.
- Assist in developing, editing, and refining communications materials prepared for or in support of community outreach and engagement activities related to Games transportation, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in fleet operations or transportation service delivery for special events is beneficial.
- Experience working in a transit agency federal, state or local government or working on projects delivered in the public realm is preferred.
- Experience in Event planning or large-scale project management is preferred.
- Passion for sports, community engagement, or involvement in large-scale events.
- Experience using ArcGIS or similar mapping software (desirable).
