Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration
- 2 years of qualifying experience in professional auditing or accounting
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of paraprofessional auditing or accounting experience for each year of the required education
- Strong knowledge of agency policies, state and federal regulations, and auditing principles
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed recommendations
- Effective communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Organizational coordination across divisions
Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing audit objectives, methodology, and procedures
- Complete audit work for audits
- Manage audit activities for timely completion
- Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data for informed opinions
- Prepare notifications and audit reports
- Ensure thorough, objective, and well-documented audits
- Assist in implementing and monitoring Program Integrity initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in any of the following areas: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Healthcare Auditor (CHA)
