Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation or related technical field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience with satcom connectivity systems, avionics, and commercial aircraft installations
  • Prior experience with Supplemental Type Certificates (STC), preferably in IFC/IFEC systems
  • Basic knowledge of FAA/EASA processes

Responsibilities

  • Define the solution level architecture, technical scope, and key interfaces of the system.
  • Write technical system requirements and system architecture documents derived from market and customer requirements.
  • Author interface control documents, system descriptions, whitepapers, and other key technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with software, hardware, and network engineering to ensure that the implementation of the technical solution complies with system requirements.
  • Act as the technical focal to customers, OEMs, partners, and subcontractors for key pursuits and projects. Participate in technical meetings and design reviews.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to document technical scope and level of effort for each discipline.
  • This position requires occasional travel up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven technical competency in developing system requirements and defining hardware system architecture.
  • Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish technical concurrence.
  • Advanced knowledge of the FAA/EASA environment.
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle, including requirements development, design, implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Solid time-management skills and self-discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools.
  • Experience working at an aircraft manufacturer, MRO, or manufacturer of aircraft connectivity products
