Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques
- Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installation
- Experience with soldering and crimping techniques
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics maintenance according to FCC, FAA and company policies and regulations
- Basic installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics components
- Maintenance of test equipment, tools, and manuals
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
- Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot static equipment
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
