Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Engineering – Preferred
- Experience in Construction Management – Preferred
- Flexible travel schedule (including weekends)
- Experience evaluating bid proposals
Responsibilities
- Supervises the technical elements of large-scale construction projects within the company, including reviewing design documentation, evaluating contractor proposals, and offering technical support to the project team.
- Identifies areas for construction process improvement.
- Coordinates with field engineers to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to effectively oversee and manage all on-site activities.
- Communicates cross-functionally through standardized communication.
- Demonstrates a general understanding of industry and financial trends impacting UPS.
- Demonstrates a general understanding of common estimation and forecasting techniques; identifies relevant data sources; identifies general trends in relevant data.
- Assist in audits of engineers in the field projects to make sure they are following the company’s guidelines for project organization.
- Identifies internal customers’ needs and vendors to meet those needs; determines costs and benefits to UPS for vendors’ products, commodities, or services.
- Maintains strategic relationships with vendor leadership.
- Develops specific plans to accomplish project objectives.
