Requirements

  • Strong process design, system implementation, and program management experience.
  • Experience in leading data audits and quality control. Payroll and tax experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits systems and software, such as ADP, Workday, Vanguard, Sedgwick/Absence One or similar benefits administration/Leave platforms.
  • Has strong ownership and ability to quickly learn and adopt new knowledge and skills, such as US compliance and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, proven leadership and team management experience and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the owner of the US and Canada LOA Operation processes and employee experience, manage leave and disability related programs (STD, LTD, VDI, WA PFML, etc.), and policies.
  • Manage the end to end LOA program operations and employee experience.
  • Serve as Project Manager for LOA program changes and ensure timely and high-quality implementation. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids to provide instructions for the current/updated benefits.
  • Build, streamline, and implement systems, processes, and tools, and continuously improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing programs, and deliver short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Ensure LOA data accuracy across platforms (HRIS, Benefits Admin system, and other vendor platforms).
  • Build an effective audit mechanism, identify the root cause of the issue and deliver the solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.) and company policies.
  • Manage vendors to perform based on the company requirements and the SLA.
  • Build a strong partnership with vendors and an effective collaboration mechanism to ensure quick response and deliver results that align with the company standard.
  • Build a data track and analysis platform to track program performance, and provide data insights to HR leadership to support decision making. Develop, generate, and present reports for analysis and trending; offer insights and recommendations. Work with key stakeholders to improve processes and procedures.
  • Serve as Leave and Disability Subject Matter Expert (SME). Partner closely with vendors, HRBPs and Business, Employee Relations, and Legal to resolve issues regarding complex leave and disability cases, manage escalated cases and provide proactive solutions to business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with 5+ years of HR related experience;
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment, multi-tasking, and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, flexibility, and good interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
