Requirements

  • Ability to manage cash, basic accounting, & excellent organization and communication skills REQUIRED
  • MUST have prior ticketing experience, with knowledge of Ticketmaster/AXS applications preferred
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays as needed for events.
  • Provide excellent customer service by having a fan-friendly attitude
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the hiring & training of staff on ticketing system & customer service including all related policies and procedures
  • Complete daily cash deposits and weekly vault reconciliations
  • Oversee the opening & closing of the box office while preparing workstations & cash drawers for staff
  • Oversee the solicitation, coordination, processing and distribution for all venue and internal sales ticket orders
  • Assist in selling tickets when needed
  • Manage all ticketing aspects of assigned events including event creation, inventory placement, sales reporting, event day management, & financial settlement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venue tenants, show promoters, tour management, & building staff to facilitate all ticketing requirements
  • Function as liaison with ticketing provider (Ticketmaster/AXS) to maintain event programming, promotional offers, & best practices
  • Assist in processing ticket requests from various entities
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness within the physical box office space
  • Help the Box Office Manager, Business Development Manager and Director of Booking & Box Office on projects as assigned
  • Perform other related duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university in hospitality, business or related field preferred but not required
  • Demonstrate knowledge in industry terminology and event-related services
  • Demonstrate the principles and techniques of supervision, training, budgeting and other administrative duties
  • Handle conflict, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
  • Know basic accounting
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Operate portable radio and standard office equipment including copier and fax machine
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines with special attention to detail
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule, and produce accurate results
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment
  • Computer Skills: Operate a personal computer using Windows, Microsoft Office software and knowledgeable in event ticketing software
