Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand protection or intellectual property enforcement, with a focus on online brand protection, trademark law, and civil/criminal enforcement
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise communications for both internal and external audiences
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with outside counsel, legal teams, and various stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to assess risk and develop proactive strategies
Responsibilities
- Implement and execute a global strategy to protect Tesla from online counterfeiting and trademark infringements
- Manage global brand protection efforts and enforce Tesla’s trademarks across various digital platforms, including websites, social media, and online marketplaces
- Manage customs seizures and support customs recordations to prevent counterfeit goods from entering the market
- Forecast and manage the brand protection budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support global and U.S.-based initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to Tesla’s legal team, including working with outside counsel on complex brand protection issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in marketing, legal, and operations to develop long-term strategies, policies, and procedures for brand protection
- Lead and manage external vendors involved in brand protection efforts, including online monitoring services
