Requirements

  • BA/BS in IT, Engineering or similar technical degree or equivalent TV & Media industry experience
  • Preferred IT certification ex. CCNA, SBE CBNE, CompTIA A+/Network+, AWS Certified Solutions
  • Understanding of video and audio signals and standards
  • Strong skills with network protocols, standards, and policies
  • Basic understanding of AWS architectures and methodologies
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects
  • Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines
  • Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support of Cloud infrastructure for Global Playout Services
  • Alignment of technology roadmaps with different business units and technology teams
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete requests in a timely manner
  • Ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the willingness to lead by example
  • Work with a team of engineers and operators in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, coordinate regular maintenance & necessary upgrades, and address critical problems through to resolution
  • Serve as primary interface for Global Broadcast Engineering with Operations & network clients on all live events
  • Travel may be required
  • Other job duties, responsibilities, and project assignments as necessary. Ability to work any shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, VLANs, and multicast protocols
  • Familiarity with both compressed and uncompressed formats, including H.264, H.265, NDI, and SMPTE ST 2110
  • Experience with IP-based Audio/Video Networks and protocols such as RIST and SMPTE 2022-7 for reliable media transport
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining IP video and control systems for large-scale networks
  • Proficiency with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for system monitoring, data visualization, and troubleshooting
  • Strong skills in Python for automation, data processing, and workflow optimization
  • Hands-on experience with the following vendors and product lines: Evertz: SDVN/Magnum, VUE/Reflex, NMS/Vistalink, Hardware; Ateme: TITAN Live; Sencore: VB330 & VBC; TAG: MCM & MCS
