Requirements
- Can read, write, and understand BAS computer programs
- Have a good understanding of HVAC equipment operations
- Have working knowledge of computer-based programs and controls, ideally electronic, PLC and/or HVAC
- Can read and understand technical material including operating manuals, architectural drawings and system P&IDs
- Have experience with IT network, network configurations, server configurations and IT security applications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing and coordinating the execution of Facilities BAS projects from design, construction, commissioning, start-up and validation of the system
- Interacting with electrical and BAS contractors
- Coordinating with engineering to design/create BAS standards and specifications
- Planning for installation of devices and creating programs within the systems for various business needs
- Collaborating with QA Validation to create and complete BAS Validation documentation, ensuring compliance with commissioning, validation, GxP, and GMP requirements
- Developing technical evaluations and test plans and updating configuration specifications and drawings to reflect current system conditions
- Monitoring the BAS daily to ensure optimal operation, assisting in troubleshooting and repair of building automation systems, including networking, network architecture, and other software and hardware IT solutions
- Partnering with the IT department to diagnose and resolve network performance, communication and user account technical issues
