Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Continuity, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Continuity, with considerable experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting a plus.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement BC plans in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and BIAs, translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning, with a strong understanding of supply chain and production operations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with BC technology and software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity (BC) plans tailored to the specific business unit needs of a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments as part of the Risk Council and conduct business impact analyses (BIAs) to identify critical operations, dependencies, and potential vulnerabilities within the production, support, vendor, and supply chain processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design and execution of BC exercises, simulations, and drills to ensure readiness and validate the effectiveness of plans.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including Operations, IT, Security, and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment on resilience objectives and integrate BC initiatives into broader organizational strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for BC, providing guidance and training to staff at all levels, fostering a culture of resilience and preparedness across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging risks (as part of the Risk Council), industry trends, and regulatory requirements to update and adapt BC plans as necessary.
  • Manage and report on the status of BC program initiatives to senior leadership, providing actionable insights, mitigation strategies, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development of crisis communication strategies and ensure effective communication channels are in place to manage incident response and recovery.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and government agencies to ensure coordinated responses to regional or global disruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and their integration into continuity planning.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 22301 and NFPA 1600.
  • Experience working within the manufacturing sector or with high-tech production.
  • Experience with Fusion.
