Requirements
- A Bachelor s degree is preferred.
- 5 plus years’ experience in the fresh beef and pork industry in the areas of meat sales, meat merchandising, foodservice sales or wholesale fresh meats operations.
- Excellent computer skills; All Microsoft office skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong group presentation skills.
- Beef and pork merchandising presenting to individual customers or larger groups which may require using knives, band saws, or meat grinder.
- Travel required includes regular automobile and air travel as the job requires.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and maintaining all activities duties and responsibilities that will successfully increase fresh beef and pork sales with specific customer assignment(s).
- Managing all aspects of Tyson Case Ready product specifications.
- Analyzing primal optimization as it relates to yields and merchandising.
- Working assigned customer(s) in all aspects of fresh Case Ready business to increase market share.
- Building sales of new products, addressing and at times investigating to resolution, claims when applicable.
- Regular face to face meetings with customer is to be expected and managed in coordination with the assigned sales team as applicable.
- Assisting in yield tests in the CRVA facilities as required and analyzing test results relating to cost to produce.
- Conducting process and product reviews and audits for assigned retail accounts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
