Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Requires 2-5 years of direct experience.
- A combination of degree and experience can be considered.
Responsibilities
- Sources and procures equipment, services and other supplies for company location or product line assigned.
- Coordinates activities for existing suppliers. Conducts on-going price negotiations.
- Identifies potential new suppliers; collects, analyzes and evaluates supplier information; and makes recommendations to management.
- Creates, compiles and distributes Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) to suppliers. Negotiates pricing and terms for contracts with new identified suppliers.
- Conducts ongoing and annual cost reduction analysis. Creates presentations and reports out to management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Purchasing procedures and terms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills
- Competent level of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Analytical skills
- Ability to calculate mathematical figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
