Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Business.
- 5+ years purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
- 7+ years purchasing experience, including procurement expertise in direct materials, including but not limited to Fasteners.
- Thorough understanding of the production process of the respective material.
- Ability to support and lead data analytics.
- Ability to travel to Suppliers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Ensure regular communication with all groups.
- Continue analysis of worldwide fastener market.
- Drive strategy definition on the level of sub-category level.
- Handle Supplier categorization (Strategic, Keep, Grow and Phase Out) on a subcommodity basis and work with the Divisional Buyers to respect this framework in their daily business and awards of new programs.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams in design and execution of category sourcing strategies.
- Prepare, support and drive negotiation at Suppliers by using cross group volume with the Group Buyers.
- Provide an overview on the results of the negotiation, including a presentation of results.
- Achieve targets and create budgets considering strategy and risk management.
- Work on standardization and reducing number of variants.
- Develop and implement procurement cost savings ideas.
- Develop and maintain key Supplier relationships.
- Coordinate all Supplier issues with applicable functional organizations.
- Work on the performance of suppliers.
- Lead, manage, and negotiate contracts and supply agreements in support of overall goals and objectives.
- Lead internal reviews of contracts with required functional areas such as Legal, Finance, etc.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement technical & commercial cost reduction and risk mitigation projects.
- Ensure compliance of internal controls as it relates to company policies and procedures.
- Handle other related duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and relationship building skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
