Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 year experience in plant work and operating a centrifuge, preferably a horizontal decanter type
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and manufactures to troubleshoot machine problems
  • Demonstrate adequate math skills for calculating machine throughputs, volume calculations, analyze, organize data, prepare records, and reports
  • Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel programs for use in generating operational matrix
  • Adequate knowledge of the tools, equipment and terminology used in the installation, rebuilding, maintenance, repair of Centrifuge, and auxiliary equipment
  • Unload/Load tanker trailers
  • Skill in the operation repair of pumps, valves, and related mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Skill in the operation and programming of PLC instruments and panels
  • Lab treatment testing for qualification of products
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate with others for safety and efficiency requirements
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English)
  • Able to work “shift” work as required

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Performs all job related functions in a Safe, Honest, Ethical and Compliant fashion. Maintains a “Safety First” approach to all tasks and understands that operating safely is the most important thing we do
  • Engages in strenuous physical labor to include lifting, pulling heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, climbing and working from ladders and scaffolds
  • Must be able to fill in for CSU Operators shifts when needed to cover unexpected absences, vacations, or vacant positions
  • Works in potentially hazardous atmospheres and locations where exposure to hazardous substances may be encountered to include petroleum hydrocarbons, benzene and hydrogen sulfide
  • Leads the Centrifuge team’s day to day operations
  • Must understand the inner workings of a centrifuge machine and be able to maintain it
  • Start-up, Shutdown, and operate the CSU Process
  • Perform analyses on process samples to ensure product meets quality
  • Tracks and documents shift run rates in excel
  • When required performs all the duties including operating plant equipment, machinery, processes, performing permit sampling, laboratory tests, monitoring meters, gauges, keeping a log of plant operations, and related records
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains or rebuilds equipment and machinery relative to the physical plant and its processes including, pumps, motors, variable frequency drives
  • Operate the vacuum truck pump
  • Shift roll-off boxes as needed in the plant
  • Must be able to trouble shoot any issues on the centrifuge and be able to monitor the flow volumes and maximize separation of oil and optimize the percent solids
  • Follows all safety and compliance rules and regulations
  • Has the ability to wear and properly use of variety of Levels A, B and C& D Personal Protective Equipment including face, hand, foot and eye protection as well as respiratory protection equipment
  • Keeps track of incoming paperwork, works closely with the Lab to ensure up to date tracking of boxes and containers loaded are scheduled and transported offsite in a timely and expeditious manner
  • Works with EH&S, HR and Training Departments to ensure that their training and drug screens are current
  • Completes required paperwork to include Safe Work Permits, Inspection Forms, JSA’s and Safety Audits
  • Is available for “On Call” duty when emergencies or special situations arise
  • Team player that leads by example
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Reworld management as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have verifiable previous experience in automated plant operations
  • Strong work ethic, available as needed
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing operating conditions
