Requirements

  • Requires an active and current license as an LCSW, LCMHC, LPA, LMFT, or RN issued by the state of North Carolina.
  • Requires a MS/MA in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing.
  • Requires five (5) years of professional experience working in and across child public service systems (e.g., education, child welfare, Behavioral Health, juvenile justice or early childhood systems).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees a team of six (6) System of Care Outreach Coordinators who support one of the six (6) Medicaid Regions in NC, and support the System of Care Manager with comprehensive planning, implementation, coordination, and training related to the CFSP’s core System of Care functions at the local level.
  • Directs and oversees program operations in support of corporate and health plan management.
  • Serve as a conduit for State-level Child Welfare concerns regarding systemic service barriers for Members and coordinate a resolution process.
  • Participates in cross-functional workgroups created to maintain and develop program. Ensure interests of Members are represented on local Community Collaboratives, and Members contribute to the Community Collaborative’s problem-solving function.
  • Evaluates program operations to improve efficiency of operations, financial return, customer service, and provider engagement.
  • Develops, communicates, and monitors program schedule, budget, and resources plan.
  • Manages resource utilization to ensure appropriate delivery of care to members and adequate coverage for departmental tasks and job responsibilities.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of resources, supports, services and opportunities required for safe community living for populations receiving in-reach and transition services, including LTSS, Behavioral Health, therapeutic, and physical health services.
  • Experience working with Children, Youth, and Families who are being served by Local Departments of Social Services through Foster Care and Adoptive Assistance programs is very strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of management/supervisor experience (with direct reports) is needed for this position.
