Requirements
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills
- Ability to work independently on a given assignment
- Strong competency with computers and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to maintain flexibility when dealing with new and changing assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on professionalism
Responsibilities
- Ensure the ICP lab is a clean and a safe working environment
- Assists in generating test procedures
- Preparing chemical solutions to test various materials
- Perform ICP and gravimetric analysis on samples
- Conduct tests per industry standards and/or customer specification
- Generate data summaries and reports requiring basic data analysis
- Interface with people in other functional areas
- Must comply with all laboratory safety procedures
- Maintain compliance with all ISO procedures in work activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, Certificate, or two years of college in chemistry, or equivalent wet lab experience, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience preparing chemical solutions and knowledge of wet lab safety practices
- Experience in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) a plus
