Requirements
- 10-15 years of professional experience in managing consulting projects and project teams, with a preference for prior experience in the circular economy or environmental consulting
- Previous experience with government contracting or supporting state and federal programs is highly preferred
- Master’s degree in environmental science/management, engineering, or a related field (Circular Economy, Sustainability) is preferred; Bachelor’s degree with sufficient relevant work experience will also be considered
- Strong background in environmental science, engineering, economics, policy analysis, or a related technical field, with demonstrated experience applying circular economy principles
- Experience working directly with clients and supporting business development and proposal preparation
- Passion for data-driven sustainability analysis, including expertise in life cycle assessments (LCA)
- Experience with organics/food waste management and batteries is a plus
- Proven ability to organize and lead small teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with a wide range of data sources relevant for environmental and policy analysis, with the ability to engage experts for research
- Strong problem-solving, systems thinking, and critical thinking skills, with intellectual curiosity to tackle complex and poorly defined challenges
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Manage project teams to deliver circular economy-focused projects for government clients
- Conduct research on circular economy topics such as life cycle assessments, policies that advance the circular economy, and the management of waste streams like batteries and food waste
- Coordinate client requests, lead meetings, develop agendas, facilitate discussions, and provide detailed meeting notes
- Provide administrative support for relevant projects, working closely with team members to ensure successful and timely project delivery
- Track project budgets and coordinate with ERG senior management to ensure alignment with financial goals
- Create reports and presentations featuring well-designed figures and tables
- Present project updates and results in client meetings to ensure alignment and success
- Support marketing, proposals, and other business development efforts related to federal, state, and municipal clients
- Support circular economy-focused proposals for business development, contributing to growth opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government contracting or supporting state and federal programs is highly preferred
- Experience with organics/food waste management and batteries is a plus
