Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 plus years of progressive experience preferred.
• Requires standard computer skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations pertaining to workers’ compensation claims handling.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the payment or denial of workers’ compensation claims.
• Timely and correctly administer appropriate workers’ compensation benefits.
• Retain and direct attorneys, private investigators, and medical case managers.
• Evaluate potential subrogation claims and aggressively pursue recovery.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Maintain a complete, accurate, and self-sustaining record in the claim file for current and future reference.
• Maintain the company’s best practice policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 plus years of progressive experience preferred.
