Requirements
- At least 8 years of claims handling experience.
- Multiple years’ experience handling commercial property claims.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive coverage and claims strategy advice to clients, addressing complex coverage issues and assisting with claims preparation.
- Lead the complex claims process, facilitating detailed client claim review meetings and participating in strategic discussions to ensure timely progress.
- Liaise with insurers and their advisors on complex queries and policy coverage discussions to support smooth claims reviews.
- Develop thought leadership materials and draft communication documents, including correspondence letters and claims calculations, to support clients throughout the claims process.
- Assess and analyze data, such as loss statistics and key trends, to provide sound recommendations for managing clients’ total cost of risk.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on complex oil and gas property claims.
- Background as a claims advocate for an insurance broker, independent property claim adjuster, or carrier adjuster.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes with all stakeholders.
