Requirements

  • Registered Nurse – ten years with an advanced degree (MSN, MBA, MPH)
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management
  • Property and Casualty licensure within 6 months of hire (if not already obtained)
  • 7+ years of leadership positions/experience
  • 10 + years of experience in healthcare, senior living, long-term care and/or risk management consultation
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Responsibilities

  • Uses risk management expertise to provide services to clients including identifying and evaluating risks; reviewing loss experience; developing solutions; articulating impact of options; leveraging prepared analytics and making recommendations to clients.
  • Supports business retention and collaborates with other Account Management colleagues on active clients’ needs and generating new business.
  • Drives relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service, client retention and drive growth.
  • Serves as a client contact and responds to complex client needs and questions to improve the client experience.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of changes in the senior living and long-term care industry to anticipate client and industry risk management implications.
  • Conducts risk assessments and prepares risk assessment reports. These assessments include on-site visits, virtual inspections, interviews, document reviews and other observations.
  • Analyzes and synthesizes data and information to make recommendations specific to the client’s needs and assists with prioritizing and implementing agreed upon initiatives.
  • Policy and procedure review and/or development in coordination with client’s overall risk management program and need.
  • Generates ideas for, and develops, papers, webinars, podcasts and other training and communication outlets that support clients and prospects and distinguishes the practice as industry experts.
  • Presents at industry conferences and participates in association task forces and committees.
  • Uses excellent writing and/or speaking skills to deliver content that is cohesive and comprehensive for the subject being contemplated.
  • Collaborates with the senior living & long-term care practice members to explain clinical risk services, develop and implement client advocacy plans and support risk management strategies.
  • Participates in prospect meetings, request for information responses and presentations and other sales efforts as requested.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance and risk-related standards.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for risk assessments or other risk initiatives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and platform skills
  • Writing skills: policies and procedures, papers, articles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with risk management software tools is a plus
