Requirements
- Ability to interview patients to elicit health needs history
- Experience in administering questionnaires in a courteous, professional, and empathetic manner
- Ability to maintain patient records ensuring strict confidentiality
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and compiling data for inclusion in progress reports
- Familiarity with clinical research processes and data entry systems
Responsibilities
- Screen patients and receive referrals for patients potentially eligible for HealthNow program activities
- Approach patients and explain HealthNow program processes/services
- Consent and enroll participants in eligible research studies
- Complete system approved point of care clinical and confirmatory tests for diagnostic screening and assessment
- Refer the patient to the next level of care or linkage services as indicated
- Assist in support of clinical research studies being conducted in the Department of Emergency Medicine
- Participate in the recruitment of study participants
- Collect and provide relevant data to be used in assessing eligibility of patients for participation in protocols
- Assist with administration of informed consent process
- Assist with cognitive testing both clinically and for research visits
