Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Work experience in IT, DevOps, and/or Cybersecurity.
  • Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools (Pulumi, CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Experience in automation scripting using Python and Bash.
  • Experience with cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Chef, Salt).
  • Experience supporting DevOps landscape (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, and version control systems).
  • Experience with Kubernetes (Packaging, Deployment, CI/CD, Security, Governance, Scalability, etc.) using managed Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift/ROSA).
  • Proficient navigating Linux servers, applications, and various networking protocols.
  • Proficient using logging tools (Splunk, Kibana, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT, DevOps, and Engineering teams to architect, provision, and maintain corporate and program solutions.
  • Manage our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker), configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and automate provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi, CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Manage, audit, and harden/secure cloud and on-premise resources.
  • Support simulations for validation of aerospace autonomy functions.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, document workflows, and handle controlled information (CUI/ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of cloud and automation engineering experience, with a strong focus on security.
  • Experience with common AWS services (VPC, Route53, EC2, EKS, etc.).
  • Experience configuring and managing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Experience using and securing GitLab code repositories and CI pipelines.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure with Pulumi (preferred) or Terraform.
  • Experience with Debian, RHEL 8/9, and Windows (2019+) servers and containers.
  • Experience with security standards and frameworks, such as NIST SP 800-123, 800-171, 800-53, RMF, SOC, ISO, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Experience with RTCA standards (DO-178C, DO-355A, etc.).
  • Experience with the OSI model.
  • AWS certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  • Red Hat certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, RHCOA, RHCSC.
  • Other certifications: CKA, CCSP, Security+, CISSP, CCNA.
