Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline or five plus years work experience managing IT applications and services for a large enterprise
  • 2 or more years’ experience with Microsoft Azure or equivalent technology (Amazon Web Services etc)
  • 2 or more years’ experience with Powershell or other scripting languages
  • 2 or more years’ experience supporting Information Technology efforts in a Corporate environment
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Azure or similar technology
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability of cloud services.
  • Implement and manage security measures, including access controls, data protection, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand application requirements and provide technical guidance on best practices for cloud adoption and integration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures related to application administration and support.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or outage.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI or Chat GPT
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator or similar
