Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles with a focus on AWS.
- 5+ years of experience working with core AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CDK).
- 5+ years of experience deploying infrastructure as code and managing cloud environments at scale.
- 5+ years of scripting or programming experience with Python.
- High School Diploma / GED.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native infrastructure to support enterprise data platforms using services like AWS S3, Glue, Kinesis, and SageMaker.
- Build infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation to enable repeatable and auditable deployments.
- Collaborate with data engineers and platform developers to provision, configure, and manage secure, high-performance environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like New Relic and CloudWatch to ensure platform observability and reliability.
- Support CI/CD processes for cloud-based workloads, integrating with tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Contribute to cloud cost optimization efforts in collaboration with Platform Operations and FinOps teams.
- Ensure infrastructure and workloads comply with security best practices and governance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer).
- Familiarity with container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD principles and tooling.
- Experience supporting data platforms or distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Iceberg).
- Familiarity with enterprise security, networking, and compliance standards.
- Experience in observability tooling and cost governance practices.
