Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with CI poly Required
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, specializing in the design, implementation, and management of advanced cloud solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying AWS cloud infrastructure solutions at scale, across multiple classification domains (e.g., IL5 to IL6+)
  • In-depth expertise in managing leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with hands-on experience in core services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.
  • Expert proficiency in creating, managing, and securing server OS images across multiple classification domains using AWS AMIs.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, for automating cloud environments.
  • Experience scripting and programming (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Extensive experience in an operational environment; managing a ticket queue, ability to search through an existing knowledge base.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Active Comptia Security+ or other 8140/8570 certificate with at least 1 year before expiration

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and deployment of cloud-based architectures, ensuring optimal scalability, reliability, and security while adhering to industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, resolve complex issues, and enhance cloud infrastructure performance
  • Champion the evaluation and integration of emerging cloud technologies and methodologies to improve our client’s cloud ecosystem
  • Establish and execute robust cloud governance strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
