Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on GCP.
  • Extensive experience with GCP services, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine.
  • Proficient in automation and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing them in a production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on GCP.
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Ensure the security of cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement cloud solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies related to cloud infrastructure.
