Requirements
- Strong understanding of Collateral Management Operations specific to Bilateral OTC, Cleared Swaps, Exchange Traded Derivatives, TBA, Repo and dispute resolution
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of work experience with direct experience in Collateral Management, Custody Operations or Derivative Operations
Responsibilities
- Serve as a single point of contact providing inquiry and operational support to multiple high profile internal and external clients on collateral management functions on behalf of the team
- Coordinate team activities including problem resolution, coverage and escalations
- Identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data; take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious, solutions
- Work independently and with the team to establish firm and well-tested controls and procedures
- Implement and support client-specific service requirements; understand the client’s operational process and enhance the service accordingly
- Validate and review all daily activity while maintaining all required controls
- Interpret client needs and work to meet those needs offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues and non-standard tasks or queries
- Research and resolve exceptions, perform reconciliations and actively monitor for incorrect transactions or issues
- Assist and coordinate junior staff, issue and respond to margin calls, manage collateral allocation and the dispute resolution process and/or collateral settlement.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA and MBA are a plus
- Ability to organize complex data into digestible ideas and manage team organization
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously with deliverables to different parties
- Self-Starting, meticulous and detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to evaluate a detailed workflow process and work with business stakeholders to develop and improve processes, including prioritization and execution of initiatives
