Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Collateral Management Operations specific to Bilateral OTC, Cleared Swaps, Exchange Traded Derivatives, TBA, Repo and dispute resolution
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5+ years of work experience with direct experience in Collateral Management, Custody Operations or Derivative Operations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single point of contact providing inquiry and operational support to multiple high profile internal and external clients on collateral management functions on behalf of the team
  • Coordinate team activities including problem resolution, coverage and escalations
  • Identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data; take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious, solutions
  • Work independently and with the team to establish firm and well-tested controls and procedures
  • Implement and support client-specific service requirements; understand the client’s operational process and enhance the service accordingly
  • Validate and review all daily activity while maintaining all required controls
  • Interpret client needs and work to meet those needs offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues and non-standard tasks or queries
  • Research and resolve exceptions, perform reconciliations and actively monitor for incorrect transactions or issues
  • Assist and coordinate junior staff, issue and respond to margin calls, manage collateral allocation and the dispute resolution process and/or collateral settlement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA and MBA are a plus
  • Ability to organize complex data into digestible ideas and manage team organization
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously with deliverables to different parties
  • Self-Starting, meticulous and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to evaluate a detailed workflow process and work with business stakeholders to develop and improve processes, including prioritization and execution of initiatives
